10 Nights & 11 Days in Bhutan: Tour Itinerary for Indian Visitors


Day 1 (Baghdora to Phuntsholing)
We'll kick off our Bhutan adventure by driving from Baghdora to Phuntsholing, which should take around 4 hours. Once we arrive in Phuntsholing, we can stretch our legs and explore the town on foot. Don't forget to grab dinner before calling it a night!

Day 2 (Phuntsholing to Thimphu)
After breakfast, we'll hit the road again, this time heading to Thimphu, the capital city. The drive should take 4-5 hours. After checking into our hotel and grabbing lunch, we'll dive into Thimphu's sights, starting with Kaja throm, followed by the Craft Bazaar, RTA, and VAST.

Day 3 (Thimphu)
Today, we'll immerse ourselves in Thimphu's rich culture and natural beauty. First up, the Takin Preserve, where we'll get to see the national animal of Bhutan. Next, we'll visit Buddha Point, the Simply Bhutan Museum, and the Zorig Chusum institute. We'll also catch a glimpse of Tashichodzong from the viewpoint before ending the day with an evening stroll.

Day 4 (Thimphu to Bumthang)
Brace yourselves for a long drive today, as we'll be traveling from Thimphu to Bumthang, a distance of 264 km that should take around 7 hours. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic views!

Day 5 (Bumthang)
Bumthang is a treasure trove of cultural gems. We'll start our day at Jamphel, followed by Kurjey and Tamshing. Then, we'll quench our thirst at the Bumthang Brewery before ending the day with an evening stroll through the town.

Day 6 (Bumthang to Phobjikha)
Today, we'll make our way to Phobjikha, stopping at the Trongsa Dzong along the way. Once in Phobjikha, we'll visit the Black-Necked Crane Centre and the Gangtey Monastery. If you're up for it, we can also explore the Gangtey Nature Trail.

Day 7 (Phobjikha to Punakha)
After a short drive to Punakha, we'll embark on a hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility. Post-hike, we'll visit the majestic Punakha Dzong and cross the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan.

Day 8 (Punakha to Paro)
Our day will begin with a hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten in Punakha. After lunch, we'll drive to Paro, a journey of around 5 hours. Once in Paro, we'll enjoy an evening stroll through the town.

Day 9 (Paro)
Prepare for a challenging yet rewarding hike to the iconic Tigers Nest (Paro Taktshang). This trek should take 3-4 hours round trip. After refueling with lunch, we'll visit the National Museum and Drugyel Dzong, followed by an evening stroll in Paro town.

Day 10 (Paro to Phuntsholing)
Sadly, our Bhutan adventure is coming to an end. We'll drive back to Phuntsholing, a journey of around 4 hours, and spend our last evening strolling through the town.

Day 11
After breakfast, we'll bid farewell to Bhutan and head to Bagdogra airport for our departures.
